A 2020 All American Selections Herbaceous Perennial award winner! 2-3" wide dark-eyed golden yellow daisies are produced throughout the summer and even into fall atop a dense and compact well-branched plant. American Gold Rush Rudbeckia was selected with disease resistance in mind as well as this plant's ability to flower throughout summer and a compact habit. It may be most similar to and is considered to be a hybrid of Rudbeckia fulgida var. deamii, or the Brown-Eyed Susan, which can reach 3' in height. Like its parent, expect this hardy clump forming perennial to revel in the heat and sun of summer with its disk flowers providing nectar for smaller pollinators and the ripened seeds of fall and winter are sure to attract songbirds. Provide American Gold Rush Rudbeckia with a full to mostly sunny site in an average moist, well-drained soil for optimum vigor and flowering. Add this easy to grow perennial to the garden and landscape but it is also compact and free-flowering enough to provide a summer long show as a container plant. Item# 12167

Clusters of widely flaring soft orange blooms are borne throughout the year and are held above and among the rich deep green glossy foliage on an upright to spreading herbaceous tropical. Crossandras are excellent for mixed containers and in the garden for bright color in shaded areas where they often flower until frost. This Almost Eden exclusive introduction boasts clusters of glowing deep reddish orange 2" upward facing tubular blooms that are perfect for hummingbirds and butterflies. Flowering from summer and often well into winter this hardy heat and sun-loving tropical can be grown as a shrub, vine, espalier, or can even be trained into tree forms. An unusual plant rarely found for sale in the US, Giant Blue African Salvia produces spikes, up to 16" high, of blue to purple, up to 2" long, hooded, two-lipped, tubular, lightly fragrant flowers throughout the warmer months of the year with the heaviest flowering in spring and late summer and fall. A vigorous tender herbaceous plant with very large tropical foliage and square stems that can easily reach 6-9' high and may grow to 15' high becoming tree-like in its native habitat. Item# 10703.

The Giant Chenille Plant produces up to 18" long, drooping, fuzzy, scarlet catkins throughout the warmer months of the year or year round under warm warm tropical conditions. A naturally upright growing tropical shrub that is close kin to the Copper Plant, the Giant Chenille will grow and flower in full sun or under light shade. The large, heart-shaped, medium green foliage provides a nice backdrop for the bright red dangling flower clusters. White Katie Dwarf Mexican Petunia is a lovely dwarf perennial that produces loads of pure white trumpet shaped flowers that shine brightly against the dark green glossy foliage from spring to frost on a compact low mounding plant. The large, 3-4" wide, raspberry red flowers are centered by a corolla of raspberry red filaments that fade to bright white at the center. Lady Margaret Passionflower is a prolific flowering hybrid that is a showoff throughout the year in frost free conditions. The fuzzy foliage and stems are utilized by Gulf Fritillary but are not considered safe for Zebra Longwings and possibly other species of Heliconian butterfly caterpillars. Multitudes of 3-4" wide golden yellow daisies with a tan to dark brown 'eye' sit atop sturdy 18-24" stems and are produced in late spring to early summer and may repeat if deadheaded. The Large-Flower or Rough Coneflower, Rudbeckia grandiflora, is a tough and easy to grow clump forming perennial that can produce 80 or more flowering stems per clump once mature. This is probably one of the most underutilized native perennials as it has one of the most uniform habits of the native Coneflowers, it is long-lived and it can tolerate the moist to wet settings of acid bogs as well as short periods of drought once well-established. This is one of the major components of our Once-Mown Meadows here onsite. Provide a full to mostly sunny site for optimum vigor and flowering. Deer and rabbit resistant and the flowers attract a variety of smaller pollinators. Item# 9885
