Ric Rac Orchid Cactus, Fishbone Cactus, Lady of the Night, Epiphyllum
Epiphyllum anguliger, E. darrahii, Phyllocactus darrahii, Phyllocactus anguliger
Sweetly fragrant, 4" wide, creamy white flowers that are backed by a loose ring of arching golden sepals are produced in fall and early winter on this unusual orchid cactus with its deeply notched stems that give its name of Ric Rac or Fishbone Cactus. The fragrant flowers on long arching stems open at night may last into the day on cool cloudy days and are generally moth pollinated in their native habitat and if you are lucky enough to have pollinated flowers delicious fruit may follow. Provide a well-drained humus rich soil and lightly shaded conditions for the best results. Item# 11583
