This plant did great in my garden and is starting to come back for its second year. I also was able to divide into some new plants in the fall. The colors are pretty true to the pictures here. Some other types of dark foliage plants have strong red/burgundy tones in them, which is not really my preference. This cultivar really tends towards the deep green/purple tones, which I like a lot. Mine tolerated heat in the summer fine, but make sure to water it regularly.
