Cotton Candy Sasanqua Camellia
Camellia sasanqua 'Cotton Candy'

Medium-sized, cotton candy pink, semi-double flowers often showing at least some gold tipped stamens are produced early in the season, October to December. The light colored flowers are set off by the foil of glossy, deep dark green, medium-textured foliage. Cotton Candy Sasanqua Camellia is an older but still quite popular cultivar, with a vigorous upright to spreading, well-branched habit maturing into a medium-sized evergreen shrub. Useful as a hedge, accent, or specimen plant in the garden and landscape as well as for container culture.  The Sasanqua Camellias are much more tolerant of growing conditions than standard Japonica Camellias and can tolerate less than perfect soils and full sun to light shade conditions.
