Almost Anita Camellia
Camellia japonica 'Almost Anita'

An Almost Eden exclusive introduction! Almost Anita produces large to medium sized soft pink, double flowers that are heavily marked, streaked, and striped with bright fuchsia. It is an early flowering Camellia that blooms in December and January. We believe that Anita is likely in its parentage as it shares a similar form and flowering time as well as the flecking. Purple Lace produces flowers that are larger than the species on a vigorous growing plant producing a seemingly non-stop display of the gently drooping grape-like clusters of flowers throughout the growing season that attract a variety of pollinators especially bees. The flowers may be followed by clusters of bright yellow to orange-yellow fruit. Flare Out Louisiana Iris
Iris x 'Flare Out'

The large light to medium blue to blue-purple falls and standards that lighten to white at their base and atypically all have gold signals, a.k.a. bee guides, creating a 'cartwheel' form and Flare Out was one of the very first of this form. It also has a contrasting greenish throat. Flare Out Louisiana Iris is a moderately vigorous midseason flowering selection reaching about 30" high at flowering. Provide Louisiana Irises with a moist to average moist to moderately wet site for the best results in a full to mostly sunny position. In average moist sites consider providing midday or filtered shade. Louisiana Iris make easy additions to bog gardens and along ponds, lakes, or other consistently moist sites. Item# 12042
