Zephirine Drouhin Rose
Rosa x 'Zephirine Drouhin'

Zephirine Drouhin is thorn-less, fragrant, disease resistant, and shade tolerant, what more can you ask from a climbing rose? 2-1/2 to 3" strongly fragrant, deep pink cupped roses are borne in mass in spring, with some blooms in summer and fall once once established. Cashmere Bouquet, Rose Glory Bower, Mexican Hydrangea
Clerodendrum bungei

Sweetly fragrant, 6" wide, clusters of deep pink flowers with deep magenta throats are held atop the dark glossy green heart-shaped foliage. The fragrant flowers attract mainly butterflies but other pollinators may show up as well. Cashmere Bouquet, Clerodendrum bungei, is an upright typically single stemmed perennial growing to about 2-4' high, occassionally to 6-8' high under freeze free conditions, and will spread vigorously if grown in the ground via underground runners creating a dense groundcover. Planted outdoors in areas where hard freezes occur, like in zones 7-9, the stems of the plant typically freeze to the ground and at the very least are typcially deciduous anywhere hard frosts occur. Cashmere Bouquet can also be enjoyed as a low maintenance container plant where it will remain more confined, click here to learn more. Carolina Lupine, Aaron's Rod, Bushpea
Thermopsis villosa, T. caroliniana

The Carolina Lupine produces spikes of primrose yellow Lupine-like flower spikes in spring above the deep green foliage of this clump-forming native perennial. Similar in some regards to the native Baptisias but with trifoliate foliage. The Carolina Lupine, Thermopsis villosa (syn. T. villosa), makes a long lived addition to the garden and wildflower meadow. Adaptable to most well-drained garden soils and prefers a full to mostly sunny site.
