One of the most popular cultivars in home orchards and is the most common variety typically found in grocery stores. The crepe-like red-orange spring flowers are followed by medium to large, red to red-purple fruit with sweet-tart, deep red arils surrounding the medium hard to soft seeds. Good for fresh eating and juicing and holds well. The Wonderful Pomegranate is considered to be a semi-dwarf, multi-stemmed large, deciduous shrub to small tree typically growing to about 10' x 10'. It will fruit and flower best where it receives about 150 chill hours. Provide a full to mostly sunny site in average moist to periodically dry, well-drained, fertile soil for optimum vigor and production.
