Camellias - White Flowered Japonicas
White Flowered Camellia Japonicas and hybrids. These are the large flowered Camellias like your grandparents grew. Camellias are evergreen shrubs that are highly popular throughout areas with acid soils in zones 7 to 9. Add them to the garden or landscapes and enjoy them in containers.
This heirloom Camellia was first brought to England in 1792 and then to the US about 1800. The medium to large, perfect or rose form, pure white blossoms are produced early in the season and are held against the medium apple-green foliage. Alba Plena Camellia is a naturally dense upright to rounded large evergreen shrub. Images courtesy of Green Nurseries, all rights reserved. Item# 11314
