    The Waihi Wedding Louisiana Iris' wide white falls are bedecked with green veining and a nicely contrasting nearly neon green signals at their base that is often overcast with yellow.     The fragrant, 4" wide flowers of this diminutive species Louisiana Iris sport purplish-blue, widely flaring sepals that are each heavily centered with creamy yellow on short zigzagging stems that hold flower buds at each turn. The Zigzag Louisiana Iris multiplies readily creating a loose ground cover that is choreographed with the changing seasons. It is at its peak in late spring when it is in flower and the foliage reaches its maximum of about 24" high. In late summer it begins to go dormant fading back to about 3-4 inches high from which it regrows all winter preparing for spring flowering.
