Rudbeckia 'American Gold Rush' PP28498

A 2020 All American Selections Herbaceous Perennial award winner! 2-3" wide dark-eyed golden yellow daisies are produced throughout the summer and even into fall atop a dense and compact well-branched plant. American Gold Rush Rudbeckia was selected with disease resistance in mind as well as this plant's ability to flower throughout summer and a compact habit. It may be most similar to and is considered to be a hybrid of Rudbeckia fulgida var. deamii, or the Brown-Eyed Susan, which can reach 3' in height. Like its parent, expect this hardy clump forming perennial to revel in the heat and sun of summer with its disk flowers providing nectar for smaller pollinators and the ripened seeds of fall and winter are sure to attract songbirds. Clusters of widely flaring soft orange blooms are borne throughout the year and are held above and among the rich deep green glossy foliage on an upright to spreading herbaceous tropical. Crossandras are excellent for mixed containers and in the garden for bright color in shaded areas where they often flower until frost. Common Boneset

Eupatorium perfoliatum var. perfoliatum

Large flattened clusters composed of numerous dainty white flowers sit atop sturdy stems with medium green softly quilted pairs of leaves that are connected at their bases and looking as though they are 'perforated' (thus the 'perfoliatum' in the botanical name) by the furry stems. Common Boneset is a clump-forming late summer to early fall flowering perennial native to much of the central and eastern US. The flowers attract a variety of smaller pollinators. The united pairs of leaves led herbalists to believe that this plant would help with broken bones. Common Boneset can be found growing along the edges of bogs and moist areas but is also tolerant of average moist soils where it receives shade during the hottest part of the day. Item# 11729
