A softly spilling green waterfall comes to mind when you see the deep dark green cylindrical foliage as it cascades from a hanging basket, head pot, or mixed succulent container. In summer the Drunkards Dream Mistletoe Cactus produces small golden-yellow strawflower-like flowers produced along the stem tips and is followed by the translucent berries which give this dainty Mistletoe Cactus its name. Like all succulents and cacti, this plant requires a fast draining soil and infrequent watering. Suitable for a windowsill as an indoor plant as well as an easy and low maintenance porch and patio plant. The showy and long-lasting deep red pine-cone like flower heads are produced throughout the growing season and may be produced throughout the year under warm tropical conditions. French Kiss is a selection of the Red Buttons Ginger with a free flowering habit that lends it to use en mass in a partly shaded garden or landscape or as a low maintenance specimen plant for containers. Orange and yellow individual flowers emerge singly or a few at the time from between the showy red bracts that make up the flower heads. Medium green rounded foliage. The flowers of this compact ginger attract hummingbirds and make an easy long-lasting cut flower. Garlic Chives or Chinese Chives are similar to Society Garlic in foliage and durability but with a slightly lower growth habit and producing flat-topped clusters of white blooms from summer to fall. Giant Turks Cap produces a seemingly endless display of 2-3" long, pendant, sleepy scarlet flowers from late summer through spring where kept free from frosts and provided with ample sunlight.
