Guadi Chaudi Grevillea, a naturally occurring hybrid, is a very low growing, ground-hugging, naturally evergreen shrub with bronze and red-tinged oak-like foliage that can be readily used as a tough drought-resistant groundcover or allow it to spill over walls. Grevilleas need little supplemental water once well-established in the garden or landscape. The large rounded, almost bottlebrush-like spikes, up to 6" long and 3" in diameter, are composed of bright golden orange to apricot tubular flowers that curl around curiously at their tips are produced nearly year-round attracting both hummingbirds and bees. Honey Gem Grevillea is a vigorous, well-branched, medium to large, heat and sunloving, evergreen shrub that is cloaked in fine-textured, deeply cut, grayish green foliage. Use it as a specimen plant or informal screen or hedge. Grevillea are normally somewhat xeric but have proven to be wonderfully tolerant of high humidity and average moist soils and will need little supplemental water once well-established in the garden or landscape. Stokesia is a tough as nails clump forming native perennial with a tidy habit and long flowering season. Large pure white rounded clusters of white flowers are produced over a long period beginning in late spring to early summer. Ice Ballet Swamp Milkweed, a slightly more compact white flowered selection of the native Asclepias incarnata, is an upright growing, herbaceous perennial that slowly spreads via rhizomes but still plays well with other garden perennials. The species is native to moist habitats and is quite happy in low areas of the garden, as part of the rain garden complex as well as in more naturalistic moist prairies and meadows. The flowers attract a variety of pollinators and the plant is utilized as a host to the Monarch butterfly. Award winning flower power! Tall dense spikes of fuchsia to red foxglove flowers with contrasting orange, pale yellow, to cream colored throats that are overlaid with dark flecking and are produced from mid to late spring until fall attracting hummingbirds, bees, and other pollinators. Illumination™ Flame Digiplexis was the first of these now highly popular cross-generic hybrids between the tropical Canary Island Isoplexis (now classified as a Digitalis) and Digitalis purpurea producing a vigorous exceptionally free flowering hybrid. This is a rosette forming perennial with large medium-green quilted foliage that is resistant to rust and other foliar diseases common to typical Foxgloves. The medium sized anemone form flowers are composed of a row of white outer petals centered by pale yellowish petaloids interspersed with golden stamens helping to create the yellow effect that has long been sought after in Camellias and this was one of the earliest hybrids to display it. Jury's Yellow Camellia is a long flowering hybrid that begins early in the season and continues into late season.  This is a moderately vigorous 'x williamsii' hybrid with an upright to rounded habit and dense branching growth habit. Use this large evergreen shrub as a specimen in the garden and landscape or as a container plant.
