Salt Tolerant Plants
Find plants that are suitable for planting in coastal gardens and landscapes. These are salt resistant plants and some are more tolerant that others to both salt spray as well as soil borne salts.
The glossy, dark green, curled foliage of the Hindu Rope grows in dense, rounded strings making beautiful and unusual hanging baskets. Beginning in late spring and sometimes lasting into fall, mature plants produce dense, rounded, hanging clusters up to 2-1/2" wide composed of waxy, star-shaped, lightly scented flowers. This is an easy to grow and forgiving heirloom that does best in well-drained soils in lightly shaded areas like a patio, porch, or as an indoor plant. Item# 9639
