Sweetly fragrant, 2" wide, white star-like single flowers, pinwheel-style, are borne in large clusters atop the dark green compact foliage and stems. A dwarf to semi-dwarf Gardenia, Daisy has a naturally vase shaped to rounded habit. Dense whorls of nectar rich, purple to dark blue-purple, tubular flowers seemingly cover up the upper most portions of the plant for weeks beginning in mid to late summer and continuing into fall. Dark Knight Bluebeard, a.k.a. Black Knight, is a vigorous and easy sunloving free-flowering clump forming shrub-like perennial that quickly develops into a dense mound of fragrant and deer resistant gray-green foliage. In zones 5-6 it tends to act more like a clump forming die-back perennial and becomes more shrub-like where winters are milder although it benefits from hard late winter or early spring pruning since it flowers on new growth. Somewhat drought resistant once well-established and prefers a sunny site in a well-drained soil for optimum vigor and flowering. Item# 12117

Large double, dark rosy red flowers with a boss of golden yellow stamens are produced early in the season. Dazzler Sasanqua Camellia is moderately vigorous and can easily develop into a large shrub or small evergreen tree with time but it is also suitable for use as a hedge, screen, or specimen plant. This Sasanqua Camellia is also considered to be fragrant. Item# 11333

Medium-sized, medium pink, dense peony form flowers showing few if any yellow anthers are produced over one of the longest flowering seasons of any of the Japonicas with flowering occuring as early as November and as late as March or April. Debutante Camellia is a vigorous growing, large evergreen shrub with a medium dense branching habit that matures into an 8-10' high by 6-8' wide plant with a naturally upright and rounded habit. 2-3" wide clusters of up to 1/2" diameter, bright white, fully double flowers are produced in early spring all along the softly arching branches just before and during the emergence of the bluish-green, soft-textured new foliage. Double Reeve's Spiraea, Spiraea cantoniensis 'Lanceata', is an heirloom shrub that has long been intermingled with the large type Indica Azaleas for a wonderful spring show. This is a medium sized, 6'x6' shrub with arching branches that when left unpruned looks like a cascading waterfall of flowers. Utilize this tough, easy, and low-maintance shrub as an informal hedge or screen, as individual specimen plants, and as mentioned among large type early flowering evergreen Azaleas. Provide this Spiraea with a full to mostly sunny site in an average to well-drained, average moist, fertile soil for optimum growth and vigor. Deer and rabbit resistant with moderate drought resistance once fully established and somewhat salt tolerant. The large, double, pure white, carnation-like to peony-like flowers are produced in great abundance all summer long on this easily grown deciduous shrub. The Rose of Sharon, a cold hardy shrubby Hibiscus species, has a naturally vase shaped habit when young but becomes rounded and full with age and it can also be trained into a tree form with careful pruning. These heirloom pass-along plants are quite tolerant of most well-drained, fertile soils in sunny sites and are resistant to periodic, short term drought once well-established. Ducher is considered by many to be the only white China rose. The ivory to white, fragrant, double flowers are produced from spring through fall and are held against soft green foliage. With a more diminutive and refined habit than many China roses, Ducher is small enough for containers or in the garden. Ducher was selected as an Earthkind rose through the Texas AgriLife Extension service. Item# 9709.

Elegantly cupped, lightly fragrant, rose-pink flowers are produced almost non-stop throughout the growing season on this floriferous and disease resistant tea rose. Duchesse de Brabant has an intially upright to vase shaped habit that rounds out at maturity and makes an excellent specimen or use it in mass or as a hedge to wonderful effect. Masses of 1/2-3/4" diameter, pom pom-like flowers in various shades of pink, ranging deep rose to near white, seemingly cover up the bare late winter or early spring stems. The Dwarf Pink Double Flowering Almond, Prunus glandulosa 'Rosea Plena', is a small, heirloom, deciduous suckering shrub requiring little care or maintenance in informal garden and landscape settings where it can be allowed to wend its way beneath and around larger plants effectively fading into the background once in leaf. Stems with plump buds showing color can be cut and brought indoors to enjoy on those cool late winter days. The Dwarf Flowering Almond prefers a fertile, average moist, well-drained soil and a full sun to partly shaded site. Item# 400

A winner of the Camellia Hall of Fame Award! The medium-sized, perfect or rose form flowers are fuchsia on the outer petals lightening to light pink in the center are produced in mid to late season or January to April. E.G. Waterhouse, a Camellia x williamsii hybrid, is a vigorous growing large evergreen shrub with an upright habit becoming rounded with age. Provide Camellias with a fertile soil rich in organic matter, with average moisture, and an organic mulch. The large rounded clusters of deep orange and gold buds open to sunny yellow, fragrant flowers that attract butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds in early spring atop the bare stems. Earl's Gold Deciduous Azalea, an Earl Sommerville hybrid, develops into an upright to rounded, medium to large deciduous shrub well suited to bright woodland settings but will also thrive in full sun under good conditions. Like the Aromi hybrids, the Earl Sommerville hybrids show excellent tolerance to the heat and humidity of the Southeastern US. Sometimes still fondly referred to as Wild Honeysuckle Bushes, these nativars will do best in an average moist, well-drained, fertile, acidic soil from partial shade to full sun conditions. One of the earliest to begin flowering and an RHS Award of Garden Merit winner! Clusters of lilac-pink tubular flowers are produced in abundance beginning in midspring and continuing into fall and are held against a contrasting foil of long-lasting showy deep bronze-red bracts and exceptionally dark green glossy foliage that takes on purple and bronze tones in winter. The flowers of Abelias attract a variety of pollinators including bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. Edward Goucher Glossy Abelia, considered to be a hybrid of Abelia x grandiflora x A. shumanii, has a naturally dense, rounded to vase-shaped habit on this medium-sized, evergreen to semi-evergreen shrub. Abelias are known for their toughness and adaptability to a variety of soil types provided they have average or better drainage. Deer resistant, somewhat salt tolerant, and mature, well-established plants are moderately drought resistant. Provide a full sun to part shade site with moderately fertile, average moist soil for optimum vigor and flowering. Long one of our personal favorites! Item# 3041

Eva Lyon Holmes is a repeat blooming Hydrangea sporting large Mopheads of pink or blue beginning in late spring and will continue to bloom on new growth into summer and fall. Repeat blooming Hydrangea varieties will bloom even after extreme cold has frozen the buds of older varieties making them more suitable choices for northern regions. item# 9074.
