Conadria produces large green, thin-skinned figs that ripen to light greenish yellow and droop when ripe. The flesh is white and the pulp can range from red to amber with a rich, sweet, and distinctive flavor. The large figs are good for fresh eating, drying, and preserves. A Robin Hill hybrid, Congo produces large rich purple flowers over an extended period beginning in mid spring on a naturally dwarf and compact slow growing spreading to mounding plant. The long flowering season and compact habit make this an easy choice for bonsai culture and where a low maintenance evergreen is needed in the landscape. Large to very large, 3-4" wide flowers of Conversation Piece Azalea can range from solid pink to solid white with every range in between from flecking and striping to flowers edged in white giving this Robin Hill Azalea its apt name. Flowering begins in late spring with the biggest show in mid spring and with another display in fall. Conversation Piece develops into a small to medium sized evergreen shrub with a naturally rounded habit. This Azalea was selected as a Louisiana Super Plant in the fall of 2012. Item# 11372

Dark near red and orange colored perfectly formed buds open to nicely fragrant apricot colored flowers that mature to a nice medium to coral pink and that are almost full enough to resemble a cabbage rose. Flowering is heaviest in spring and fall and well-established plants will produce additional flowers in between times. Cornelia is an heirloom Hybrid Musk Rose with good disease resistance and it is nearly thornless making it a good choice for arbors and near garden paths. It can be grown as a large fountaining shrub or as a medium-sized climber with canes can that reach 10'. Provide a full to mostly sunny location, although Cornelia is considered to be moderately shade tolerant, in an average moist moderately fertile soil with average or better drainage for optimum vigor and flowering. A 2012 American Rhododendron Society Rhododendron of the Year award winner! The glowing clear red flowers of Coronado Red Evergreen Azalea are produced in spring and again in fall on this compact growing, rounded, small evergreen shrub which matures to about 3-4' high and wide. Azaleas do best in average moist, acidic soils that are rich in organic matter but have good to excellent drainage and should be top dressed with an organic mulch such as pine straw and pine bark. We recommend using a slow-release, non-burning fertilizer that is labeled for acidic loving plants. Item# 10203

Craimoisi Superieur is still one of the most vigorous, reliable, and freely flowering old garden roses on the market. It produces a near endless display of cupped cherry red flowers often with a blotch or streak of brightly contrasting white in the center of the flowers. My grandfather called this the "eleven-month" rose because in many years here in zone 8B it can flower that long. Classified as a China Rose, Craimoisi Superieur has good disease resistance and quickly develops into a 4-5'H x 4-6'W shrub. It can be used as a specimen or as colorful hedge. A reliable old favorite, Crepuscule produces clusters of 3-4" wide, fragrant, apricot colored, loosely double blossoms for much of the year. This disease resistant, free-flowering and nearly thorn-less heirloom rose can be trained as a climber or can be grown as a large shrub. An excellent choice for a trellis or pillar and deserving of a place where it can be fully enjoyed. Item# 10132.

Huge 18-24" long spikes of deep coral-red to red-orange, 2" long pea-like flowers are produced in cycles throughout the warmer months of the year on new growth. The specialized flowers are designed for hummingbird pollination but may also be visited by larger bees and occasional butterflies. The Crybaby or Cockspur Coral Tree, Erythrina crista-galli, is considered to be one of the most cold hardy and free flowering of the Coral Trees. This is a rarely available and highly desirable fast-growing, heat and sunloving, deciduous tropical tropical tree to large shrub growing to about 15-20' high in zones 9B-10 but is typically closer to 10' high in zones 8B-9A. Once well-established, the plants are somewhat drought resistant and are slightly salt tolerant. Provide a full sun to mostly sunny site in an average moist to moist , fertile soil for optimum vigor and flowering. Protect young plants from harsh freezing temperatures until the trunk becomes woody and has grown to about 5-6" diameter if planting out in zone 8B-9A. Young plants can be overwintered indoors in a warm sunny window until they get to an appropriate size for planting out. The huge flower clusters are utilized as cutflowers in its native range and it is also the national tree of Argentina, the national flower of both Uruguay and Argentina, and is the city tree of Los Angeles as it makes a fantastic, low-maintenance street tree. Sweetly fragrant, 2" wide, white star-like single flowers, pinwheel-style, are borne in large clusters atop the dark green compact foliage and stems. A dwarf to semi-dwarf Gardenia, Daisy has a naturally vase shaped to rounded habit. Dense whorls of nectar rich, purple to dark blue-purple, tubular flowers seemingly cover up the upper most portions of the plant for weeks beginning in mid to late summer and continuing into fall. Dark Knight Bluebeard, a.k.a. Black Knight, is a vigorous and easy sunloving free-flowering clump forming shrub-like perennial that quickly develops into a dense mound of fragrant and deer resistant gray-green foliage. In zones 5-6 it tends to act more like a clump forming die-back perennial and becomes more shrub-like where winters are milder although it benefits from hard late winter or early spring pruning since it flowers on new growth. A Camellia Hall of Fame Award winner! One of the longest flowering Camellias in our garden beginning early in the season with flowers into late season. Debutante produces frilly double (peony form) medium pink 3-4" wide flowers showing few, if any, yellow anthers.
