In Love (9/20/2018)
It is September here in Oklahoma and this plant has taken our hot/humid Oklahoma summers in stride (high 90's plus). It is loaded with 1 inch bright orange-red star shaped blooms that just shine. I've got mine in a pot with protection from the hottest part of the day and it has grown upright to about 18 inches. A really wonderful surprise for a first time plant.

Silene subciliata (11/13/2016)
Has overwintered in front range Colorado, with full sun exposure, but prefers part shade conditions and well drained soil. Moderate to little water. Rabbits enjoy exposed stems, so best to fence around plant. Has not flowered, but multiplies rapidly given the above conditions.
